QA hosts media events in Arab countries

DOHA: Qatar Airways celebrated Ramadan by welcoming media colleagues to Ramadan events in Doha, Dubai, Manama, Tunisia, Casablanca and Muscat.
The six events were co-hosted by QA and major hotels in the region to thank the media for supporting the airline throughout the year.
Salam Al Shawa, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Communications, QA, said: “Ramadan is a real opportunity to be thankful and to appreciate our fellow media colleagues.
“It is also a special occasion to allow our friends to re-connect with the national carrier, and all our supportive journalists and friends,” Al Shawa said.
“And we are also happy to welcome the many new joiners to the Arab media industry.”
In addition to being one of the region’s premier carriers and an emerging power in the international air travel market, QA is proud of its commitment to the local community, its culture and traditions.
Recently, it was recognised with three of the top awards at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards: World’s Best Business Class for the third time and the second year consecutively; Best Airline in the Middle East for the eighth time; and Best Business Class Airline Lounge for the second time consecutively.
The awards have further cemented QA’s reputation as one of the world’s ultimate five-star carriers and are the result of its dynamic growth and focus on a high-quality passenger experience.
QA has seen rapid growth in 17 years of operation and flies a modern fleet of 134 aircraft to 144 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
Meanwhile, QA hosted two Suhours evenings at Al Sharq Village & Spa, Al Dasha Ballroom, Doha.
The events brought together top QA officials, members of the airline’s Frequent Flyer Programme, the corporate and government sectors and the travel and hospitality industry on July 14 and 15.
Both evenings were an opportunity to network and showcase the airline’s five-star hospitality.

Both events included entertainment activities, including  a Tannoura performance and a Moroccan band.
