Doha: The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC)
H E Mohamed Abdulwaheed Ali Al Hammadi yesterday approved results of the first session of tests for secondary school certificate for the academic year 2013-2014.
A total of 7,528 students from day schools took exams, with a success rate of 85.3 percent.
From parallel education schools (evening education) 1,020 students took tests, with a success rate of 17.3 percent.

During a press conference, Khalid Al Harqan, Director, Evaluation Institute, SEC, congratulated students and wished them further success in their academic and career lives. He also congratulated the schools that achieved high levels of excellence.
Doha: Qatar National Museum, along with Qatar Museums Authority departments, will celebrate the Garangao night on Friday.
It will include a competition on Garangao bag design, where children will use materials to make bags and fill them with candies and nuts. Children and their families will also build telescopes to watch the moon at the event and throughout Ramadan.
Children will also decorate a wall with verses from traditional Garangao songs and will later use the wall as background for taking photographs. There will also be Garangao puppet theatre, traditional games and food booth. Children will be given gifts after each activity they participate in. QNA
