Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) honoured 29 staff who have serviced 25 and more years in various departments.

The honouring ceremony coincided with the 50th anniversary of the country’s first national bank.

QNB has expanded into a leading financial institution with branches, subsidiaries and associates in 26 countries and nearly 600 sites around the globe, employing around 14,000 personnel in three continents.

QNB Group’s Acting CEO, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari said, “We hold this celebration in honour of our employees who have spent between 25 and 44 years, with total years of service amounting to 832 years.  “We are proud of being one big family based on loyalty, commitment, and pride. No doubt that each one of those who are being honoured is a living example of the values cherished by the group and at the same time is proud of being a member of this human capital which adds special significance to this celebration.” QNB awarded the staff with certificates of appreciation.  The bank set up in 1964 is the country’s first Qatari-owned commercial bank. It has an ownership structure equally split between Qatar Investment Authority and the private sector.
