Kahramaa set to meet Ramadan demand

DOHA: Utility distributor  Kahramaa will keep its emergency teams ready for 24 hours during Ramadan to attend to complaints regarding disruptions in electricity and water supplies across the country.
Its call centre will be open round-the-clock during the fasting month.
One can call Kahramaa’s emergency number 991 (call centre) for help.
Since electricity consumption increases massively in mosques during the fasting month, Kahramaa has made arrangements for surplus power to attend to sudden supply disruptions.
Water will be pumped 24 hours to ensure stable supplies, Kahramaa said in a statement yesterday.
Water tanker filling stations will be open seven days a week to meet customer needs.
In Al Wakra, Al Khor and Al Shahaniya, water tanker filling stations will work from 6am until 4pm.
In Al Shamal, Mesaieed and Jemiliyah, tanker filling stations will work in one shift from 6am to 11am.
In Al Sailiya and Umm Salal, they will be working from 6pm until 4pm and 7pm until midnight.
