DOHA: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has rescheduled patient appointments at Outpatient Annex at its Bone and Joint Centre following an incident “involving smoke,” the corporation said yesterday.
“On June 18 at about 7pm, there was an incident involving smoke at the HMC Outpatient Annex at Bone and Joint Centre. The building was evacuated and staff and patients remained safe at all times,” said a statement issued by HMC late last evening.
Appointments for paedodentics and orthopaedics clinics at the OPD Annex will be rescheduled, as HMC officials work to reinstate normal operations, it added.
Outpatient appointments at all other HMC clinics remain unaffected.
The HMC call centre will contact patients to advise them of new appointment times.
Queries about rescheduling appointments in these clinics can be made by calling 4439 5777.
