DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Shariah compliant lender, in association with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, will host a career-day on Tuesday at Al Huda Tower, West Bay from 8am.
QIB will be offering details of employment opportunities for local candidates at the event.
The career-day is one of a series of similar events being organised by the Ministry with Qatar’s leading companies.
During the exercise, the bank has planned to present its vision and plans to provide a clear insight to job seekers about career opportunities.
Khalefa Al Mesalam, Acting General Manager, said: “QIB’s objective is very clear, we are focusing our efforts on attracting and developing Qatari talent to promote human capital in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”
“We are working to increase our level of Qatarisation within the bank, hiring as many capable and talented nationals as we can. We believe that QIB is one of the best choices for individuals who would like to build a career in financial services in Qatar and by holding such career days, everyone gets the chance to find out all about this fascinating career option,” he added.
Last year, QIB achieved 29 percent Qatarisation at the year-end and continues to invest in developing National resources.
In keeping with QIB’s strategic nationalisation plan, the bank is expected to increase the percentage of Qatarisation by the end of this year.
As part of QIB’s commitment to invest in people, the bank has also sponsored 28 Qatari students who will become part of the bank’s workforce upon successful completion of their education.
