DOHA: Ooredoo has launched Samsung Galaxy S5, enabling customers to enjoy full 4G experience. The smartphone is equipped with Download Booster Feature, which enables customers to use 4G LTE and Wi-Fi networks simultaneously.

“We’re really excited to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Qatar, because it’s another great opportunity for Ooredoo customers to experience the full power and potential of 4G in the country.

“We’re working with the world’s leading smartphone developers to bring the latest models to Qatar as quickly as possible, and delivering network enhancements to ensure our customers can use their devices to their optimum capacity,” said Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community and Public Relations at the company.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is available at selected Ooredoo Shops from today at QR2,699 for 16GB, and QR2,899 for 32GB. Customers may purchase their Samsung Galaxy S5 32GB via Ooredoo e-shop, with free delivery provided.

They can also choose from a variety of colours for the phone, which comes with a 16 Megapixel camera with the fastest autofocus of any smartphone, along with a two megapixel front-facing camera. It is also the first smartphone to have an integrated heart rate monitor, letting customers keep track of health and fitness levels wherever they are, and a fingerprint scanner, removing the need for passwords and allowing customers to use their fingerprint to access the Internet and use the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with an ultra-power saving mode and has an IP67 waterproof rating, making it resistant to sweat, sand, dust and immersion in water up to one metre. To take advantage of 4G capability, Samsung Galaxy S5 should be registered for access to Ooredoo 4G network. Shahry customers should SMS “4G” to 114, while Hala customers can SMS “4G” to 121.The Peninsula
