DOHA: There has been no violation so far this year by manpower agencies recruiting domestic helps, under the grading system of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
“The number of erring agencies declined significantly from 10 in 2013 to only three in the latest grading in 2014,” said Fares Al Kaabi, head of the Manpower Agencies Department at the ministry.
“But the explanations of all three agencies have been accepted, which means there is no violation at all this year,” he said.
Disclosing the latest grading results, he said out of 124 agencies, 24 were in Category A, meaning they were complying with all the 17 conditions specified for them, 36 were in Category B, fulfilling some of the conditions, and the remaining 64 in Category C, an Arabic daily reported.
