Doha: The Arab Union of Electricity (AUE) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar International Cables Company, a Nexans company at Kahramaa headquarters.
It was signed by Engineer Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, Chairman of the union and Kahramaa’s President, and Charles-Edouard Mellagui, Nexans Country Manager and CEO of Qatar International Cables Company (QICC), in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
Nexans will provide financial support and technical know-how to the union for its programmes and activities for one year. It includes support to ongoing programmes and workshops being organised by the union and Nexans will help achieve the union’s goals with its vast technical expertise and solutions.
Nexans will pay $100,000 to the union to support its programmes and activities.
“By this collaboration, Nexans will work like a member of the union and we believe the union will add new dimensions to its activities and operations across Arab countries, along with expertise of Nexans,” said Al Kuwari.
Mellagui said QICC, a Nexan’s company, is delighted to collaborate with the union and Nexans believe that our association will add new chapters to the business partnership.
