Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of congratulations to Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on his appointment as Deputy Crown Prince, while maintaining his position as Second Deputy Prime Minister. The Emir expressed best wishes that Prince Muqrin succeeds in his new appointment, in the service of Saudi Arabia under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable to Prince Muqrin.
Doha: Katara Cultural Village will organise Katara Art Forum on April 1-2 under the theme ‘Architecture and Arts: Place Energy as Creative Stimulant for the Artist’ to be attended by researchers and academics from Arab and foreign countries.
Director General Dr Khalid Al Sulaiti said in a statement that the forum will discuss topics, such as the arts of the East and West through three topics, including the expression of the place in Western art, in which Dr Mustafa Al Razzaz will discuss the relationship of the artist with place in the Western art history and provide a historical summary of that relationship and its evolution since the Paleolithic era until the contemporary art.
Through a research paper, Dr Mohammed bin Hamouda will shed light on Islamic architecture and its interest in artistic aspects.
