DOHA: Qatar Foundation (QF) opened a new Primary Healthcare Centre yesterday to provide services to its employees and students in Education City.
The centre provides free medical and dental services for QF employees and students on a scheduled and emergency basis. The Health, Safety, Security and Environment Directorate also operates its ambulance service on the QF campus for medical emergencies.
The launch was held at Hamad Bin Khalifa Student Centre in the presence of Engineer Jassim Telefat, Group Executive Director, QF Capital Projects and Facilities Management, and Fahad Saad Al Qahtani, Group Executive Director, QF Administration and other guests.
Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, President, QF, said, “QF’s employees are its most valuable resource and the key element of its continued success.
“We believe it is our duty to ensure their health and well-being and support this initiative that will join and compliment QF’s existing health initiatives.”
The centre is QF’s latest initiative to develop the community by promoting health awareness and contributing to necessary medical care for everyone in the QF family.
The facility offers comprehensive, high quality, professional healthcare services, with highly qualified staff operating advanced equipment.
Sheikha Amal Al Thani, Executive Director of Health, Safety, Security and Environment, said, “The scope of services includes curative treatment, preventive treatment, emergency treatment, healthy lifestyle programme education, immunisation programmes, diagnoses and treatment of illnesses, dental services, laboratory services, psychological consultations, radiological services and health awareness campaigns.”
The centre is open from Sunday to Thursday from 7.30am to 8.30pm and noon to 8pm on Saturdays.
