Qatar, Bosnia discuss prospective joint ventures to boost relations

Sarajevo: The President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, yesterday met  Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
Dr  Al Attiyah conveyed greetings of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Komsic asked Dr Al Attiyah to convey his greetings to the Emir and wishes to Qatar of further progress and prosperity. 
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Zlatko Lagumdzija,  also met Dr Al Attiyah and reviewed relations and means to develop them in all areas. Prospective joint projects was also discussed.
“We discussed topics of mutual interest,” Dr Al Attiyah said at a joint press conference with Lagumdzija.
“I think that we have completed preparing legal steps needed to move forwards to further cooperation,” he added.
He said areas of cooperation were identified, with a focus on development projects, agriculture and infrastructure.
Dr Al Attiyah  expressed pleasure over the presence of Bosnian companies in Qatar to contribute to the development of infrastructure projects of Qatar National Vision 2030. Lagumdzija welcomed Dr Al Attiyah’s visit and hoped more partnerships with Qatar in the future.
Al Attiyah also met Sheikh Hussein Kvazovic, Chief Scholar and Grand Mufti, and members of parliament and officials. 
Sheikh Hussein thanked Qatar for support, especially in the rebuilding of Gazi Khosrow Bek Library in Sarajevo, and maintenance of some institutes and schools. 
The mufti wished the government and people of Qatar further progress and prosperity.
