Hamad Medical City project launched in Yemen

Doha: Yemeni Prime Minister Mohammed Basindawa and Qatari Ambassador Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri yesterday laid the foundation stone of Hamad Medical City in the Taizz Governorate. 
Several GCC officials and Yemeni cabinet members attended. 
Yemeni officials thanked the Emir 
H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for taking the initiative that will benefit Yemeni people for years to come.
 Basindawa praised Qatar’s support for Yemen in all fields. He also lauded Qatar’s commitment to Yemen’s peace and stability, highlighting strong relations reflected in Qatar’s help for Yemen to recover economically. 
Yemeni Minister of Health Dr Ahmed Qasem Al Ansi said Hamad Medical City will be a marked improvement in medical services provided by Yemen. The project aims at serving six million Yemenis and creating thousands of jobs for Yemeni youth. QNA
