DOHA: Qatar University has provided its students with over 15,000 new Microsoft tools to expand their capacity in and out of the classroom.

Through a campus-wide migration to Microsoft Office 365, QU students, faculty and alumni have access to a secure and reliable cloud computing platform that provides tools to access course work on any device from any location, innovative messaging and videoconferencing applications, and easy file sharing.

The platform is an innovative hybrid system whereby QU members operate from an on-premises exchange server and students experience the flexibility of working from Office 365 with up-to-date applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, with new capabilities being added all the time.

“Secure mobile tools are increasingly important inside and outside today’s classroom and we continue to provide our students and community with state-of-the-art services and tools such as Office 365 which help ensure that QU is an enriching environment for innovative learning and future success,” said QU Vice-President and Chief Academic Officer, Dr Mazen Hasna
