Ashghal hosts Columbia varsity students

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) hosted a group of faculty and students from Columbia University, USA. The group visited Ashghal’s headquarters and selected project sites to share knowledge and discussions with lead Ashghal executives.
In response to a request from the ‘Global Leaders in Construction Management Research Group’ (GLCM), Ashghal’s President, Engineer Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi hosted a delegation from the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at Columbia University who met key Ashghal executives including Engineer Mawlawi, Meshal Al Hitmi, Shared Services Affairs Director; Saif Al Kaabi, Human Resources Manager and Abdulla Saad Al Saad, Public Relations and Communications Manager.
As part of the visit, the group went on a site visit to witness first-hand Ashghal’s key construction projects, namely: Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City and F Ring Road projects. The group was briefed on these major infrastructure projects and gained on ground experience in knowing the extent and volume of these projects.
