Qatar to take part in WHO executive board meeting

Doha: Qatar will participate in the meetings of  134th session of World Health Organisation (WHO) Executive Board to be held in Geneva between January 20 and 25.

Qatar’s delegation to the meeting will be headed by the Minister of Public Health H E Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani.

The meeting will discuss a number of reports, work plans and strategies in addition to other topics on the agenda, most importantly the organisation reforms.

The meeting will also discuss communicable diseases, strategy and global targets for the prevention and control of tuberculosis and the global plan of action for the vaccine, in addition to non-communicable diseases and the follow-up of the Political Declaration of the High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the prevention of non-communicable diseases as well as the subject feeding mothers, infants and young children, and disability.
