Malayala Manorama Doha launch today

DOHA: Malayala Manorama, India’s largest circulated regional language newspaper, will be launched in Doha today in a printing partnership with Dar Al Sharq, Qatar’s leading newspaper publishing house.
The newspaper will be officially launched by the Indian Ambassador, Sanjiv Arora, at the Radisson Blu. He will hand over the first copy formally to Mohan Thomas, Founder and Chairman, Birla Public School in Qatar.
Malayala Manorama brings four editions in Doha — Malabar, Central, Kottayam and South representing the four regions of the Southern Indian state of Kerala.
“We have found that people from Kerala living abroad like to read Malayalam papers to know about their native place and what is happening there. The Doha edition will cater to their’ expectations,” said Anand Mathew, Senior General Manager for Sales at Malayala Manorama.
The newspaper will be distributed by Bold Ideas Enterprises in Doha. The Doha edition is Malayala Manorama’s 19th and eight editions are published outside Kerala. In the Middle East, it has editions in Dubai and Bahrain.
Dar Al Sharq Foreign Publications also prints and distributes Malayalam dailies Varthamanam and Chandrika. It also prints and distributes, International New York Times, Pilipino Star Ngayon, Filipino language daily paper, Rajdhani International Weekly, a Nepali language paper, Lankadeepa Weekly, a Sinhalese language publication and Tamil Times, a Tamil language weekly.
Kanthipoor, a new Nepali language weekly, will be printed and published from Thursday by Dar Al Sharq Foreign Publications.
