DOHA: A six-year-old Qatari boy who was injured after being attacked by a baby leopard at a circus at Hyatt Plaza recently, and was rushed for emergency medical care, is out of danger.
The boy was to be shifted from the intensive care unit late last night but will remain in medical care as he needs treatment for his physical injuries as well as psychological damage.
Meanwhile, four friends of the boy — all siblings — who were with him at the time of the incident and were left horrified, are yet to recover from shock, their father said.
Nasser Al Qahtani said that the incident was a great shock for his children and they were still horrified as they had seen blood on their friend’s clothes after the leopard’s attack.
He said he had met the counsellor of their school and discussed the issue with him. “He has given some very valuable tips, which we are following,” said Al Qahtani.
