Qataris on Japan study tour

DOHA: Fifteen Qataris are flying to Japan next month for a two-week study tour in Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo. In addition, 11 female students from Qatar University will also visit Tokyo, Nagoya and the Tohoku region for one week. The trip is financially and logistically supported by Qatar Petroleum Development Co as a contribution to deepen relations between Japan and Qatar.

“I am particularly glad that these visits to Japan will take place in 2013 after we have celebrated 40 years’ excellent relations between the two countries last year ,” Japanese Ambassador Kenjiro Monji told the students during a recent reception for them.
