Katara, Kazakh embassy to boost cooperation

DOHA: Katara will be hosting a series of cultural events and exhibitions to celebrate 20 years of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Kazakhstan.

“We are delighted to work in partnership with the Republic of Kazakhstan Embassy to host various cultural events that will promote Kazakhstani culture locally. This initiative allows us to celebrate and further build upon our strong relationship with Kazakhstan. Katara will showcase a number of events and exhibitions to commemorate 20 years of diplomatic relations,” said Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara.

Dr Al Sulaiti recently welcomed Azamat Berdibay, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss cultural ties between both countries, hoping to host joint cultural events in the future.

Commemorating the long lasting relationship between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Qatar, the meeting addressed the opportunity of a joint collaboration between Katara and the Embassy of Kazakhstan to introduce a number of key cultural events in Katara to promote Kazakhstani culture to the people of Qatar. 

“This is another testimony of Katara’s commitment to promot global cultures through hosting various cultural events,” said Dr Al Sulaiti. 

The meeting was also attended by Darwish Saleh Al Shibany, Manager of Marketing and International Relations and Acting Manager of Cultural Affairs, Katara; Malika Mohamed Al Shraim, Manager of PR and Communications, Katara and Omar Ali Al Mannai, General Manager’s Office Manager, Katara.
