Ritz-Carlton, Red Crescent sign agreement

DOHA: The Ritz-Carlton Doha and Qatar Red Crescent announced their partnership to increase community awareness of local humanitarian initiatives.

The Ritz-Carlton Doha will gratuitously host part of Qatar Red Crescent’s annual events and activities. They include  workshops and awareness sessions on international humanitarian law, basic and advanced first aid accredited training; and opportunities for involvement in various community-centred activities. The events are open to the Ritz-Carlton staff as well as targeted community groups. 

“As part of Qatar Red Crescent’s mission to empower communities in the face of humanitarian crisis and disasters, we organise annual activities and events that include professional development programmes and training to educate and empower the public,” said Saleh Al Mahanadi, the Secretary- General of Qatar Red Crescent.  HossVetry, Cluster General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton  Doha, said: “We believe we should be aligned with the noble cause of Qatar Red Crescent and give back to the community which we are part of.”

Through this unique partnership, The Ritz-Carlton Doha will host a series of events with Qatar Red Crescent this year focusing on education services and international relief and disaster management. The events include a World Day to Combat Cancer session and an educational session on cancer prevention and improving the quality of life of patients.
