Doha: The Qatar edition of Chandrika, one of the leading Malayalam dailies, will be officially launched on Thursday. Several Kerala ministers and leaders of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) are expected to attend the function to be held at New Ideal Indian School, Abu Hamoor, said Qatar Chandrika Director Board Chairman Parakkal Abdulla, Qatar KMCC President P S H Thangal and General Secretary Abdul Rehman at a press conference.
Muslim League State President Panakkad Sayyid Hyderali Shihab Thangal, Federal Deputy Minister for External Affairs E Ahmed, Minister of Industries and I T of Kerala, P K Kunhalikuty, Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Deepa Gopalan Wadhva, Ex-minister and writer M P Veerendrakumar, former member of Parliament P V Abdul Wahab, and some renowned Arab personalities will attend the function.
Doha is the eighth edition of the Chandrika group, which enjoys the support of Qatar Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC). this year. A special edition of Chandrika Qatar will be released at the inaugural session. The winners of a letter writing competition will be given prizes. A cultural programme has also been arranged.
