DOHA: Chowking Qatar opened yesterday its second branch in Al Sadd offering its customers a bigger dining space and new food menu that will also suit the tastes of some other nationalities.
Located within the heart of Al Sadd’s commercial district, the new upscale restaurant branch can accommodate 178 people with a function room on the second floor that can accommodate 100 people and several meal recipes prepared in Arabic and other expatriates preference. Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Crescente Relacion and Hussain Al Fardan of Al Fardan Group of Companies were the VIP guests who graced the launch and led the ceremonial ribbon cutting. They were assisted by Franchisee Partner Margaret MacKenzgie and Ahmed Hassan Bilal, owner of Chowking Qatar.
Other special guests from the business community also graced the launch yesterday.
Bilal said that the second branch of Chowking was borne out of an overwhelming response from the Filipino community and other expatriates in Qatar. “We will present the same kind of dining experience that we offered in our first branch,” Bilal said. He announced three different menus which were carefully designed to suit the Qatari people and the cross section of the expatriate community.
The new menu ready to be served at Chowking Al Sadd are Beef Wanton Noodle Soup, Chicken Asado, Beef Ribs in Tamarind Soup, Crispy Vegetable in Sweet and Sour Sauce, Chicken Adobo and Stir Fry Kangkong with Oyster Sauce. Bilal said they chose Al Sadd to be the location of their new store since this is where most of the Filipino families were concentrated and other expatriates whom they find to be fond of fine food dining.
