PWA invites residents to attend Chand Raat Eid Festival on Friday

Pakistan Women’s Association Qatar (PWA) in collaboration with Dhoom Event Qatar is organising Chand Raat Eid Festival at Doha Marriott Hotel on Friday,  from 7pm till 2am. The event is for families only.

“We have planned huge number of activities including stalls, free bouncy rides, kids activities and gifts, henna designing and many valuable prizes as giveaway,” said Rahat Mansoor, Founder & President, Pakistan Women’s Association Qatar. 

“We’re reaching out to different communities and inviting them to become part of our most colourful night and to showcase our rich culture and tradition. We have decided to donate the money generated from entry tickets to Qatar Charity for their orphanage programmes in Pakistan. The entry ticket is priced at QR5.

K S Chitra to lead music concert

Sree Kerala Varma College Qatar Community (SKVC), an alumni association of institution, will hold a music concert titled “Devanganam” in the memory of late Johnson Master, legendary music composer from Kerala, India. 

The show, directed by renowned music directors, Birney and Ignatius, will be held on September 19 at Qatar National Convention Centre. Leading a group of prominent singers is K S Chitra, an Indian national award winner who has sung in numerous Indian languages. Other noted singers for the show are G Venugopal, Madhu Balakrishnan, Gayathri, Sithara, Sudheep and Subin and will be accompanied by forty talented instrumentalists from Kerala.

The organisers called upon all music lovers of Qatar to come and support the mega show. Patron of the alumni C K Menon and other organizers Premsingh, Raghuraj, Nijo Ignatius, Raj Kumar and Nishad participated in the Press meet. For more details call 74433366.

#UberICECREAM makes its way across Doha 

Uber served up a treat to make a record-breaking ice cream delivery across the Gulf, as #UberICECREAM returned to city streets across 144 cities worldwide. #UberICECREAM saw  “tonnes” of ice-creamy demand in Doha, after the initiative had kicked off first in Australia, then across Asia before coming to the Middle East and on to Europe, North and South America. 

In Doha, Uber users could request a Capricci gelato right at their door.
