Kabul: A heavy explosion rocked eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan yesterday morning, leaving at least nine people injured, Khaama press reported.
According to local government officials, the incident took place in Ghazni City around 10.30am local time.
Provincial governor spokesman, Shafiq Nang confirmed at least nine people including Afghan national army soldiers were injured following the blast.
Mr Nang further added that the incident took place after an explosive device planted in a cycle went off.
He said three Afghan soldiers and six civilians including women and children were injured following the blast.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
Ghazni is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban rebels are actively operating in its districts. Agency
