LAHORE: Pakistani Prime minister’s adviser on petroleum and natural resources Dr Asim Hussain will hold talks with textile industry representatives to work out a mechanism for resumption of gas supply to the industry in Punjab from Feb 1.

Currently, the industry is facing power cuts up to 12 hours a day. Gas supply to the textile industry in Punjab remains suspended since Dec 5, coupled with complete electricity shutdown for 10 days between Dec 22 and 31.

The industry is demanding restoration of gas supply to five days a week and complete resumption of power.     Internews
