Emir, Father Emir perform eid prayer

DOHA: HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on Monday morning performed the Eid prayer at Al-Wajba praying area.

HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, personal representative of HH the Emir, took part in the prayer along with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al-Thani and a group of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, ministers and citizens.

Dr. Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari, Court of Cassation judge and Supreme Judiciary Council member, who led the prayer delivered the Eid sermon in which he urged Muslims to benefit from Eid Al-Fitr in doing good deeds, maintaining ties with kinship as well as educating oneself. He also reminded worshippers of relieving those in need, defending the oppressed and standing by rights.

Scores of worshippers performed the Eid prayer in mosques and praying areas across the country.



Emir, Father Emir receive eid well-wishers



 

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani received on Monday morning scores of well-wishers on Eid Al-Fitr at Al-Wajba Palace.

Following Eid prayer, Their Highnesses received Their Excellencies Sheikhs, ministers, Advisory Council speaker and his deputy, ministries' undersecretaries, Advisory Council members, and citizens.

Their Highnesses also received heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Qatar as well as officers of the armed forces and police, and heads of national institutions and departments.

The well-wishers expressed their congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir and HH the Father Emir, praying that Eid carries good and blessings to the Qatari people and the Arab and Islamic nations.
