Korean Air says suspends 3 flights to Tel Aviv

SEOUL: Korean Air Lines Co Ltd will suspend all its flights to Tel Aviv over the next week in response to growing tension between Israel and Palestine, the airline said on Friday.

In a statement, the airline said it would cancel flights scheduled for July 19, 22 and 24 as part of its efforts to address concerns about flight safety after a Malaysian airliner was brought down in Ukraine.

Three flights from Tel Aviv bound for Incheon in South Korea will be suspended, it said.

Korean Air said the decision to stop the flights to Tel Aviv was prompted by the deteriorating political conditions in the region as Israeli troops launched a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. (Reuters)
