Qatar Exchange Index gains 560.12 points this week

DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained 560.12 points (+4.74 percent) this week when the bourse closed at 12,376.62 points here Thursday afternoon.

The trading value of QR 3,363,861,784.44 this week is an increase by 48.95 percent compared to QR 2,258,318,145.16 last week.

The trading volume of 85,653,641 shares is an increase by 90.09 percent compared to 45,059,381 shares last week. The 39,781 transactions this week is an increase by 27.63 percent compared to 31,168 transactions last week.

The market capitalization of QR 676,252,951,207.97 is an increase by 5.04 percent compared to QR 643,796,195,982.72 at the end of previous week.

Banks and financial services led the traded value this week with 39.48 percent of the total traded value. Real estate accounted for 17.74 percent. Industries accounted for 14.90 percent, and telecoms accounted for 13.82 percent.

Real estate led the traded volume this week with 28.64 percent of the total traded volume. Banks and financial services accounted for 25.56 percent. Telecoms accounted for 23.12 percent, and industries accounted for 8.79 percent.

Banks and financial services topped the number of transactions this week with 32.52 percent of the total transactions. Real estate accounted for 20.64 percent. Industries accounted for 19.17 percent, and telecoms accounted for 14.19 percent.

From the 43 listed companies, 36 ended this week higher and seven fell.

Masraf Al Rayan topped the traded value this week with 17.62 percent of the total traded value. Qatar National Bank accounted for 9.90 percent and Vodafone Qatar accounted for 9.63 percent. (QNA)
