KABUL: Five International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members died in southern Afghanistan, (ISAF) said in a statement.
The statement further added that the service members died on Monday; however, no further details regarding the incident.
The exact location of the incident and nationalities of the deceased soldiers were also not disclosed by ISAF, according to (Khaama Press)
ISAF generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan, saying, "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities."
At least 35 NATO service members including 24 US troops, six British troops and five soldiers from the countries contributing troops in ISAF mission in Afghanistan, have been killed since the beginning of the year, according to icasualties.org, which tracks NATO troops casualties in Afghanistan.
