Qatar Exchange index gains 686.03 points this week

DOHA: Qatar Exchange index gained 686.03 points or 5.27 percent this week when the bourse closed at 13,694.19 points here Thursday.
 
The trading value of QR 10,464,454,362.98 this week is an increase by 125.95 percent compared to QR 4,631,346,108.13 at the end of last week.
 
The trading volume of 195,974,783 shares is an increase by 85.74 percent compared to 105,509,921 shares, while the 76,199 transactions is an increase by 56.58 percent compared to 48,664 transactions last week.
 
The market capitalization QR 736,878,568,244.49 is a rise by 1.69 percent compared to QR 724,621,134,263.31 at the end of previous week.
 
Banks and financial services led the traded value this week with 44.11 percent of the total traded value. 
 
Industries accounted for 16.59 percent. Telecoms accounted for 16.33 percent, and real estate sector accounted for 14.91 percent.
 
Banks and financial services led the traded volume this week with 33.8 percent of the total traded volume. Telecoms accounted for 25.20 percent. 
 
Real estate accounted for 24.34 percent, and industries accounted for 9.61 percent.
 
Banks and financial services topped the number of transactions this week with 34.86 percent of the total number of transactions. 
 
Industries accounted for 19.31 percent. Real estate accounted for 18.68 percent, and telecoms accounted for 15.13 percent.
 
From the 43 listed companies 27 ended this week higher, 15 fell and one remained unchanged.
 
Masraf Al Rayan led the traded value this week with 22.01 percent of the total traded value. 
 
Barwa Real Estate accounted for 8.93 percent and Vodafone Qatar, which announced its year-end financial results Tuesday, accounted for 8.24 percent. (QNA)
