DOHA: Qatar Exchange index lost 96.59 points (0.74 percent) this week when trading closed at 13,008.16 points here Thursday afternoon.
The trading value during this week decreased by 6.49 percent to reach QR 4,631,346,108.13 compared to QR 4,952,620,601.28. Trading volume decreased by 5.46 percent to reach 105,509,921 shares, as against 111,603,300 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 5.98 percent to reach 48,664 transactions as compared to 51,758 transactions.
Market capitalization fell by 1.32 percent to reach QR 724,621,134,263.31 as compared to QR 734,345,946,420.00 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this with 32.05 percent of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 25.22 percent. Industries sector accounted for 19.83 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 10.48 percent.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 38.24 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.92 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 14.70 percent and Industries sector accounted 12.87 percent.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 26.15 percent of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 25.75 percent. Industries sector accounted for 25.08 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 8.59 percent.
From the 43 listed companies, 14 ended this week higher, while 29 fell. The Ezdan Holding Group led traded value during this week with 13.75 percent of the total traded value. Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 10.07 percent and Industries Qatar accounted for 7.90 percent. (QNA)
