DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend on Wednesday adding 131.97 points or 1.07 percent to advance to 12,453.86 points from 12,321.89 on Tuesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 35,161,071 from 26,075,713 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR1,138,312,504.31 from QR944,859,059.85 Tuesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank which was up 4.74 percent to QR81.70, International Islamic Bank gained 3.80 percent to QR82.00, Vodafone Qatar added 9.99 percent to QR15.41 and Masraf Al Rayan up by 3.12 percent to QR44.60.
The Banking and Financial sector index was added 1.35 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index up 0.73 points.
The industrial sector was lost 0.52 points while insurance sector gained 1.14 points. (QNA)
