Emir holds official talks with Sudanese president

KHARTOUM: HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a round of official talks at the Friendship Hall in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum before noon Wednesday with Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir .

The talks were attended by their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.

While attending the talks on the Sudanese side were a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and senior officials.

The two sides discussed effective ways and means to further bolster and develop the fraternal bilateral relations.

They also reviewed a set of regional and international causes of mutual interest.

Prior to the kick-start of the talks, HH the Emir and Sudanese president held bilateral meeting during which the two leaders touched on issues of mutual concern.

Khartoum is the first leg of an Arab tour by HH the Emir and which also include Algeria and Tunisia.

HH the Emir arrived here earlier Wednesday on a one-day state visit.

HH the Emir is accompanied by a high-level official delegation. (QNA)
