DOHA: Qatar Exchange Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori reiterated the imperative of capacity-building of its directors and senior executives to provide better services to shareholders, investors and spur Qatar's economy.
The CEO said this at the conclusion of training programme on developing leadership and strategic planning organised by QE in collaboration with British consulting firm Teamwork International Inc.
Attendees participated in theory and practical sessions in the programme conforming to global standards.
All participants received accredited certificates at the conclusion of the year-long training programme, QE said.
Stressing such training programmes will boost corporate performance of the stock exchange, Al Mansoori said, "We are relying on set norms of global best practices in capital markets to progress and grow.
To this end, we are supporting the development of human resources as part of our commitment to customers."
QE has contracted reputable institutions to impart training and develop employee skills, he said, and added, "the QE is keen to develop, train and initiate investor awareness campaigns."

Teamwork International Managing Director and principal trainer Dr. Tom Flatau said, "The training focused on developing leadership and management skills of department managers."

Dr Flatau's lectures covered topics like an evaluation of the organization's leadership, effective management and leadership skills, leadership and training strategies, effective communication and negotiation skills, conflict resolution and personnel evaluation and innovation, problem solving, decision-making and building high performance teams.
