Fire kills 7, leaves 200 families homeless in Philippines

MANILA: Seven people were killed in a predawn fire in Malabon City in Philippine capital region on Wednesday.

The fire burned around 100 houses in Tinejeros village, Malabon City of Metro Manila, before it was extinguished.

Some 200 families were left homeless and the cost of damage was pegged at around 2 million pesos or 44,964 U.S dollars.

Investigation has been ongoing to determine the cause of fire. (QNA)
