DOHA: The Qatar Exchange ended in the red area when trading closed Wednesday at 11,839.46 points or 0.14 percent down 16.48 points from the previous closing of 11,855.94 points on Tuesday.
The volume of shares was up to 18,671,682 from Tuesday 13,226,450 and the value of shares increased to QR1,086,264,419.61 from QR722,583,877.95 on Tuesday.
Among the top losers were Qatar National Bank whose share down 1.53 percent to QR193.30, Industries Qatar lost 0.56 percent to QR197.00, Doha Bank fell 0.30 percent to QR66.80 and Ooredoo decreased by 0.99 percent to QR150.50.
The Banking and Financial sector index was lost 0.09 percent points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.46 points.
The industrial sector was fell 0.50 points while insurance sector added 3.68 percent points. (QNA)
