Afghan Forces and ISAF kill 37 Taliban insurgents

KABUL: Thirty seven Taliban insurgents were killed and five others injured in joint operations carried out by Afghan forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the last 24 hours in different regions of the country.

The Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement issued here Thursday that the joint forces conducted operations in Kabul, Nangarhar, Parwan, Kunduz, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan, Wardak, Ghazni, Farah and Helmand provinces.

Two other insurgents were arrested, the statement added.

The security forces confiscated quantities of heavy and light weapons.

No casualties among the security forces were reported. (QNA)
