Emir receives message from Nigerian president

DOHA: HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has received a written message from President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria pertaining to bilateral relations and means of enhancing them.

The message was handed over by the Special Envoy of Nigeria's President and Acting Minister of National Planning when HH the Emir met him and the accompanying delegation at his Emiri Diwan Office this morning.


Emir receives credentials of new ambassadors

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received this morning credentials of four new ambassadors to Qatar.

HH the Emir received the credentials of HE Meganu Arga, Ambassador of Ethiopia, HE Valeriu Tikhonov, Ambassador of Moldova, HE Haji Abdullah Abdulhamid, Ambassador of the Republic of the Comoros and HE Mohammad Kholov, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Russia.

Their Excellencies the ambassadors conveyed to HH the Emir greetings of their countries' leaders and their best wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.

For his part, HH the Emir welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their missions and the relations between Qatar and their countries further development and prosperity.

The new diplomats received an official reception ceremony before the presentation of their credentials. (QNA)
