DOHA: The Qatar Exchange ended in the red area when trading closed Monday at 11,245.86 points or 0.47 percent down 53.10 points from the previous closing of 11,298.96 points on Sunday.
The volume of shares was up to 8,717,748 from Sunday 7,966,702 and the value of shares increased to QR525,331,411.06 from QR453,302,809.84 on Sunday.
Among the top losers were Commercial Bank of Qatar whose share down 0.69 percent to QR72.40, International Islamic Bank lost 1.43 percent to QR69.00, Barwa Real Estate fell 1.57 percent to QR31.40 and Islamic Insurance decreased by 2.52 percent to QR62.00.
The Banking and Financial sector index was lost 0.58 percent points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index dropped 0.44 points.
The industrial sector was fell 0.28 points while insurance sector added 0.02 percent points. (QNA)
