Six policemen, 1 child killed in Pakistan's roadside blast

ISLAMABAD: Six Pakistani police officers and a child were killed in a roadside blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa town of Charsadda on Wednesday morning, Dunya News reported. 

According to initial details, the explosion targeted a police van in Sardheri Bazaar area. 

The policemen were on their way for polio team's security. 

The remote-controlled bomb was planted in a bicycle, police said. 

Security forces have cordoned off the area, while at least seven injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital. (QNA)
