DOHA: The Ministry of Economy, Trade renewed its commitment to activate direct communication with consumers through screens and electronic system in a number of commercial complexes in the country so as to receive consumers' complaints directly.
In the framework of its plans aiming at developing e-services and gradually reducing usage of papers, the ministry has launched the new electronic system.
In order to make way for the consumers to submit directly their comments and complaints electronically to consumer protection department of the Ministry.
This system includes two services, the first one is to receive consumers' complaints on facts, acts and practices that the consumer sees as a violation of his rights or obligations stipulated into laws and ministerial decisions related to consumer protection and the second service is to use the screens in commercial complexes to display movies and advisory awareness that fall within the priorities of the consumer protection department, which is concentrated on the rational consumer behavior and awareness of their rights and duties.
