DOHA: Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan Co-operation Center, Petroleum (JCCP) for exchange of training and development programmes in oil and gas sector.
The MoU was signed by Tasweeq CEO Saad Al Kuwari and JCCP Executive Director Masataka Sase at Tasweeq Headquarters in Doha on November 19, Tasweeq said Wednesday in a media statement.
The objective of this MoU is to enhance co-operation between Tasweeq and JCCP on matters related to training and development.
Al Kuwari said, "We believe the signing of this MoU between Tasweeq and JCCP will allow the Japanese employees to be familiar with the vital role Tasweeq plays in marketing Qatar's oil and petroleum products."
The specific objective is to have access to the various technical and non-technical courses organized by JCCP, exposing participants of both parties to best practices and expertise, Tasweeq said.
One major component of this MoU is the implementation of the employee exchange practice, where Tasweeq will receive in 2014, for the first time, Japanese employees at its headquarters.
This will be a good opportunity to introduce them to Tasweeq's various activities and acquaint them to the Qatari culture, Tasweeq said. (QNA)
