DOHA: Qatar's Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) and the United National Information Center (UNIC) have agreed to hold joint cultural activities aiming at enriching the global and local culture and activating the joint cultural projects between the two sides.
Katara Director General Dr. Khalid Al-Sulaiti said that the events will be deliberate and systematic, and that Katara has adopted a list of international days of the United Nations to hold related activities.
He noted that had met with Director of the UNIC for the GCC countries Najib Friji, who visited Katara last week, and discussed ways of boosting the prospects for cooperation between the two sides.
They also agreed to activate the role of Goodwill Ambassadors of the United Nations, host them in Katara activities as guests of honor and hold special public events for them in order to serve the issues they are representing. (QNA)
