SEOUL: South Korea's leading tire maker Hankook Tire Company has signed a deal with Daimler AG to supply original equipment tires for the new Mercedes-Benz S-class, the company announced Monday.
This is the first time that the South Korea tyre maker has clinched a partnership with German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz, Yonhap news agency said.
Hankook Tire, the world's seventh largest tire maker by sales has already supplied original equipment tires to BMW and Audi, the two other German makers, as well as Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Compnay.
The tyre company said it produces over 94 million tires annually and ships its products to 180 countries around the world. (QNA)
