DOHA: Qatar Exchange (QE) will shift its headquarters to Al Dana Tower, opposite City Center Shopping Mall in West Bay from its current location at Grand Hamad Street, the Qatari bourse announced Wednesday.

The move to the new headquarters will begin with a "soft launch" on March 4, 2013, QE said.

The exchange has advised the Government of the State of Qatar, financial institutions and investors, that "the last working day for QE in its current building shall be February 28, 2013".

"QE will occupy the 1st to 5th floors in the main tower along with the 1st and 2nd floor of the annex adjacent to the main building.

A temporary hall in the 1st floor of Al Dana Tower will be equipped to host the investors until a permanent and more comfortable one has been prepared and equipped for that purpose," the exchange said.

Licensed brokerage companies will gradually open offices on the 1st floor of the main tower to provide regular services to investors, QE added. (QNA)
