DOHA: Chadian President Idriss Deby praised the strong relationship he has with HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Chadian President noted to the role played by the State of Qatar in the Arab world and in supporting Chad, wishing deeper relationship between the two countries' peoples.
In an interview with Qatari daily newspaper (Al Sharq) published Thursday, Chadian President hails Qatar's role to end the crisis in Sudan's Darfur region by calling the rest of the rebel groups, who did not sign the recent Doha agreement, for talks through N'Djamena and to convince them to sign the Doha Document during a meeting to be held in Doha, adding that he will pay a visit to Qatar with a number of rebel groups who did not sign the agreement.
Chadian President stressed that ending the crisis has had a significant impact on restoring security in his country, considering that the Chadian-Sudanese relations are the deepest African relations among peoples.
He emphasized the importance of Qatar's support for Chad to get Arab League membership at its upcoming summit during this year, wishing that this support would help his country to become the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at its next session.
Meanwhile, Chadian President called on Qatari businessmen to invest in his country without fear of losing their money, stating that he will provide important guarantees for any investor, including security in the country, stability of the situation to stabilize the economy and the independence of the judiciary to ensure the conservation of their rights, wishing Qatar to be a partner with Chad in the rail line project that will connect the capital N'Djamena to the Red Sea via Sudan and to the Atlantic Ocean across Cameroon.
In his interview with Al Sharq daily, President Deby announced his recognition of the new Syrian coalition and his country's readiness to receive the first ambassador of the coalition, appreciating at the same time Qatar's great role in facing this crisis.
Chadian President called on the Arab League to take a tougher position towards al-Assad regime for the protection of the Syrian people. (QNA)
