Saudi-Philippine joint commission meeting opens

RIYADH: The 4th session of the Saudi-Philippine Joint Commission kicked off in Riyadh Tuesday chaired by Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis from Saudi Arabia and Undersecretary for Policy at the Foreign Affairs Department Erlinda F. Basilio from the Philippines.

 

The two-day meeting represents an opportunity for both sides to review the progress of the bilateral relations in the technical, social and economic cooperation and ways of further enhancing them, Dr. Al-Ghafis said.

 

The Saudi-Philippine Joint Commission includes four sub-committees: the security cooperation committee, the human resources and technical affairs committee, the trade and economic affairs and the tourism, cultural and youth cooperation committee.

 

A number of officials from the ministries, relevant bodies and organizations as well as businessmen and businesswomen in the two countries are taking part in the 4th session of the Saudi-Philippine Joint Commission.  (QNA)
