Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday told the West Bengal Assembly that she will come there whenever she wants and there was no need for her to come if there are no questions, minutes after the opposition Left Front staged a walkout protesting her absence.
“If there are no questions, why should I come? I will come whenever I want to. I give most time to the house. If there is no subject, what should I do by coming here” asked Banerjee, who entered the assembly after the Left members exited demanding her presence in the house during question hour. “There was only one question, on land, which is sub-judice and they were informed of it,” she said justifying her absence for most part of the question hour.IANS
