Belgaum: The ruling BJP in Karnataka yesterday put off action against 14 assembly and seven legislative council members for backing the new outfit, Karnataka Janata Party, floated by the party’s former leader B S Yeddyurappa. The state unit leaders decided to write to the party’s central leadership “in a day or two” on what action could and need to be taken against the rebels to prove that the Bharatiya Janata Party would not tolerate indiscipline.
ISRO planning 10 space missions
New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to accomplish 10 space missions in the next one year, parliament was informed yesterday. Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office V Narayanasamy told the Lok Sabha that eight of these are planned by September 2013 and the remaining two by 2013-end.
Court allows doctor to return to Pakistan
New Delhi: The Supreme Court yesterday set free Pakistani virologist Mohammad Khalil Chisty, given life term for a murder in Rajasthan in 1992, and ordered issuing travel documents for allowing him to return to his country.
